A Look Back: River Crossing

Another Weekly screenshot by ES, this one caused much debate over a unit seen here. The stone giant is actually a norse unit contrary to some thinking it was Greek. The stone giant did not have a melee attack but instead it lobbed boulders at enemies, but this role was given to the Troll later on. Another thing to notice is a mystery unit on the left between two archers. It is unknown what it did and is only seen in this shot. It is a possible variant of the egyptian bowman perhaps? One other thing is that on the bottom right there are multiple Odysseus heroes. Whether this was because it was just like that for the weekly screenshot or that you could train heroes of the same type more than once is uncertain as of now, which leaves the reader to decide. Another thing is the Egyptian hero which is soon replaced by Setna's model and texture later on. More things to see are actual blood effects on water from stone ginats which would be sorted out later. A last thing is the different and slightly taller cyclops which had a much cartoonier texture(Like many other units during the earlier stages of development

Dude, how do you have all the time for this?! Its really amazing to see how much effort and work you have done to make sure so many projects are known. You should try getting more people to come here.
